Workshop at Saratoga National Historical Park

Saratoga National Historical Park (Saratoga NHP) will present a Park Ranger-led,
high quality, one-day teacher workshop at Saratoga Battlefield. The workshop,
building on the upcoming 250 th anniversary of the Battles of Saratoga, will offer
enhanced teacher familiarity with Saratoga NHP’s grade 4, 5, and 7 in-person and
virtual educational programming, materials, and resources, empowering
educators to offer insightful onsite and in-class educational experiences for their
students. The afternoon portion of the workshop features a Ranger-guided tour
of Saratoga Battlefield that will equip participating educators with personal and
professional comfort and confidence, anchored in lived experience, when guiding
students’ exploration of the Battles of Saratoga and the American War for
Independence.
