Union Cemetery Walking Tour

On July 8, 2025 at 7:00 PM, the Washington County 250th Anniversary Committee and the Old Fort House are co-sponsoring the Union Cemetery Walking Tour in Fort Edward led by F.E. Historical Association Executive Director and Historian Paul McCarty and President Elizabeth O’Leary. This will be an amazing walking tour of the Union Cemetery, covering the founding of the cemetery through the Civil War with special highlights on the early families of Fort Edward and Sandy Hill. The walk is free to the general public but goodwill donations are gladly accepted. Donations go to benefit the Washington County 250th Committee.
