Sweet Peas and a White Bridge: on Lake George when Steam Was King by Elsa Kny Steinback
Interesting late 19th and early 20th century accounts of the steam boats, the Knapp Estate and old hotels on the east side of Lake George. Elsa summered at her cottage on Shelving Rock adjacent to the Knapp Estate in the town of Fort Ann. The later chapters deal mostly with the area known as the lake’s narrows.
