Many books and articles about the history of the town of Salem have been published but the Friends of the Salem Bancroft Public Library began to worry that the day to day lilves and experiences of the citizens were in danger of slipping away. With much effort the group began to collect stories and compile them into this little book with stories and legends dating back from 1767. The collection includes both legends and some historical notes and reminiscences. softcover, 56 pages.
